Health Literacy

Rally Health focuses on the core product of Rally Health, providing a one-stop benefits solution for people with health insurances to earn rewards for activities, preventive care, and programs completed.

Our goal was to create an engaging quiz experience to increase health literacy as a new feature to be part of tasks users can earn easy incentives and rewards for completion and to reuse components for surveys across the platform + UnitedHealthcare

Before and After Redesign of Surveys

Health Risk Assessments is a survey people take asking personal health questions related to their life, habits, and health. This data is used to recommend personalized programs and to track progress annually. I was tasked with improving the design to meet better WCAG standards with color contrast and larger fonts.

Updating Gender Questions

Although the CDC data collection was a limitation, I worked with product and copywriters to do my best to update the language in asking gender questions and the selection options.

Outcome

Results: Components, page templates, increased color contrasts, and other accessibility fixes across experience and content. Collaborated with illustrator for new icons and reviewed illustrations for icon library. Worked with a copywriter on copy guidelines for all quizzes.

User tested the entire quiz experience with various copy content headers on the quiz summary pages. Overall, positive experience and validated our designs.

Quizzes was launched in 2019 and was a successful launch in having users complete quizzes. As we built these components, other teams across the platform are able to use them in their experience.
